As the U.S. gears up for its semiquincentennial (say that five times fast) birthday this summer, here at TPG, we're preparing to celebrate by hitting the road to discover every red, white and blue nook and cranny of our fine country.

In honor of America's 250th birthday, we found some amazing hotels from "sea to shining sea" that are getting in on the party with summertime rates starting at under $250 per night. Here are 10 hotels to add to your "America the Beautiful" itinerary this summer.

Lyle - Washington, D.C.

Lyle sits in the heart of D.C.'s Dupont Circle. The art deco property is surrounded by historic homes, local shops, galleries and restaurants, and is only a short drive from Washington, D.C.'s monuments, memorials and museums.

The Junto - Columbus, Ohio

The Junto is a 198-room boutique hotel in Columbus' Franklinton Neighborhood, named after Benjamin Franklin's club for mutual improvement, founded in 1727 when he was just 21 years old. In addition to five on-site restaurants, the hotel has bikes, scooters and cameras available to borrow for your Columbus adventures.

The hotels' summertime "Road Trip Across America" package includes travel essentials like snacks, a picnic blanket and tote, a road map coloring book, complimentary valet parking and a discount on your nightly rate.

Rates for The Junto's Road Trip Across America package start at $232 per night and require a two-night minimum stay. The Junto is also part of Amex's The Hotel Collection, opening you up to additional perks and the ability to pay with Membership Rewards points on eligible stays.

Okana Resort & Indoor Water Park - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Okana Resort & Indoor Waterpark is home to a 404-room hotel, a 100,000 square foot indoor water park and an outdoor water park that boasts the fourth largest pool in the country. There are slides, pools and splash playgrounds for kids (and adults) of all ages.

We can't think of a better spot to savor the country's magnificent landscapes than the great outdoors. Under Canvas has luxury, safari-inspired camps near some of America's most beautiful national parks, monuments and outdoor destinations.

From June through August, guests can enjoy limited-time summer programming with activities like guided stargazing sessions, dark sky trivia, canvas painting, star-spangled tie-dye and more (activities vary per location). The Revolution Hotel - Boston, Massachusetts

Boston is the birthplace of the American Revolution, and the city is marking America's independence with a full slate of events. If you want to participate, we recommend a stay at The Revolution Hotel. This South End hotel's design is bold and modern, with graffiti murals of historic American figures and colorful decor.

Choose your room carefully: select rooms have a private bath down the hall from your sleeping accommodations (just throw on your complimentary robe first!), giving the room more space, while others have in-room baths.
