As the U.S. gears up for its semiquincentennial (say that five times fast) birthday this summer, here at TPG, we're preparing to celebrate by hitting the road to discover every red, white and blue nook and cranny of our fine country.
In honor of America's 250th birthday, we found some amazing hotels from "sea to shining sea" that are getting in on the party with summertime rates starting at under $250 per night. Here are 10 hotels to add to your "America the Beautiful" itinerary this summer.

Lyle - Washington, D.C.
Lyle sits in the heart of D.C.'s Dupont Circle. The art deco property is surrounded by historic homes, local shops, galleries and restaurants, and is only a short drive from Washington, D.C.'s monuments, memorials and museums.
The hotel's on-site bar and restaurant is marking America's milestone birthday with a drag brunch called "Drag Us Through Herstory," a theatrical look back at influential American women throughout history. You can see the show every Sunday in July.

The Junto - Columbus, Ohio
The Junto is a 198-room boutique hotel in Columbus' Franklinton Neighborhood, named after Benjamin Franklin's club for mutual improvement, founded in 1727 when he was just 21 years old. In addition to five on-site restaurants, the hotel has bikes, scooters and cameras available to borrow for your Columbus adventures.
The hotels' summertime "Road Trip Across America" package includes travel essentials like snacks, a picnic blanket and tote, a road map coloring book, complimentary valet parking and a discount on your nightly rate.
Rates for The Junto's Road Trip Across America package start at $232 per night and require a two-night minimum stay. The Junto is also part of Amex's The Hotel Collection, opening you up to additional perks and the ability to pay with Membership Rewards points on eligible stays.
Okana Resort & Indoor Water Park - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Okana Resort & Indoor Waterpark is home to a 404-room hotel, a 100,000 square foot indoor water park and an outdoor water park that boasts the fourth largest pool in the country. There are slides, pools and splash playgrounds for kids (and adults) of all ages.

The Mills House - Charleston, South Carolina

In honor of America's 250th birthday, guests can book the "America 250 Weekday Rates" package for rooms at $250 per night when you stay weekdays Sunday through Thursday between June 28 and Sept. 4, 2026.

Under Canvas - National parks nationwide
We can't think of a better spot to savor the country's magnificent landscapes than the great outdoors. Under Canvas has luxury, safari-inspired camps near some of America's most beautiful national parks, monuments and outdoor destinations.
From June through August, guests can enjoy limited-time summer programming with activities like guided stargazing sessions, dark sky trivia, canvas painting, star-spangled tie-dye and more (activities vary per location). Guests can also partake in Fourth of July foodie favorites like root beer floats, s'mores and classic cookout fare.

The Revolution Hotel - Boston, Massachusetts
Boston is the birthplace of the American Revolution, and the city is marking America's independence with a full slate of events. If you want to participate, we recommend a stay at The Revolution Hotel. This South End hotel's design is bold and modern, with graffiti murals of historic American figures and colorful decor.
Choose your room carefully: select rooms have a private bath down the hall from your sleeping accommodations (just throw on your complimentary robe first!), giving the room more space, while others have in-room baths.

The Revolution Hotel's "Rebel Roots: 250 Years of Bold" package is available through December 2026 and offers admission for two adults to two Boston attractions (there are several available to choose from), a branded backpack with a water bottle and a printed map of the city to spark your own exploratory spirit.

Sky Rock Sedona - Sedona, Arizona
If your celebrations take you through Northern Arizona, head for Sky Rock Sedona, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Guests can participate in activities like daily yoga and meditation and weekly palm reading, sound healing and guided stargazing tours, live music and more.

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown
The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown offers vacation-ready on-site amenities like a rooftop pool and locally inspired dining, but it is also just a short drive from popular area attractions such as the Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Art Museum and Chase Field.
Over the 4th of July weekend, the hotel is honoring America with themed food and beverage offerings like a Star-Spangled Board with mini hot dogs and Southwestern-inspired topping and the Rocket Pop Margarita, a colorful cocktail inspired by the classic red, white and blue popsicle.

The Wigwam - Litchfield Park, Arizona
The Wigwam is just outside of Phoenix in Litchfield Park, Arizona. At nearly a century old, the 331-room resort is one of Arizona's oldest and most unique stays.
